Revolution acquire Pat Phelan from Toronto FC

The New England Revolution announced today the acquisition of Enfield, Connecticut native Pat Phelan from Toronto FC in exchange for one of the team's eight international roster spots through the 2010 season. The former Wake Forest defender was selected 10th overall in this year's SuperDraft by Toronto FC. Phelan, 23, joins former Wake Forest teammates Michael Parkhurst and Wells Thompson on the Revolution.

Franchino to Galaxy for second round Superdraft pick

Former Revolution Captain Joe Franchino has been sent to the Los Angeles Galaxy for a 2009 second round Superdraft pick. The defender appeared in 162 matches with the Revs, but only saw action once this season late into stoppage time after missing most of last year with an injury.
