Revs Looking Up in Standings; Try to Regain First Against United

Who: D.C. United at New England Revolution
What:
MLS Regular Season
Where:
Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
When:
Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. (TV38, Cox3 [R.I.])

Gone is the New England Revolution's lead at the top of the table, the lead they’ve had most of the season vanquished thanks to the team's first losing streak of the season.

The hangover from winning SuperLiga has resulted in three straight losses – none easy to swallow. First, the Revs blew an early lead in a 2-1 loss to Chicago. Then they were eliminated from the U.S. Open Cup with a 3-1 semifinal loss to D.C. United before surrendering four goals to the lowest scoring team in the league in a 4-0 loss to last-place San Jose.

But after all that, and with a game in hand against their closest rivals, the Revs have a chance to regain the top spot in the league, stop their slide in the standings and put an end to D.C.'s recent run of good form.
