Goal.com: Noonan back to the Revs?

According to Kyle McCarthy over at Goal.com, Pat Noonan may be headed back to the Revolution:
Pat Noonan is close to re-signing with the New England Revolution after leaving the team during the off-season, sources close to the deal tell Goal.com.

Very interesting. If true, you have to wonder if this is an indication as to whether the Revs believe Taylor Twellman will ever be 100% healthy this season. If Twellman eventually gets to 100%, what happens to Cristman? Dube? Mansally? Manzonelli? Depth at forward is one thing - I think the Revs need another back to take Hilgenbrinck's spot rather than another forward.

I agree. I would have to think that this is a precursor to a trade, with either Twellman heading overseas, or Noonan going somewhere else is MLS after signing.

They really need another defender a lot more than they need another forward.
