US draws 0-0 with Argentina

The United States Men's National Team finished their preparation for World Cup Qualifying with a scoreless draw with Argentina, the number 1 ranked team in the world. In front of over 78,000 fans at Giants Stadium, the US put on their best performance of the past month, but still couldn't find the back of the net. Landon Donovan started and played the entire match for his 100th international appearance. The 26-year-old become the fourth youngest player in the world to get his 100th cap.

Tim Howard started in goal and came up with some big saves, especially in the first half. Heath Pearce looked very good at left back and Clint Dempsey and DaMarcus Beasley both put in solid performances.

Pablo Mastroeni was ejected in the 72nd minute for his second yellow card on what looked like a non-existent foul. Argentina's Javier Mascherano also saw red for bad tackle on Donovan in the 87th minute.

The US begins World Cup qualifying against Barbados next Sunday.
