Revolution ready for improved Toronto

Who: Toronto FC at New England Revolution
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
When: Saturday, 7:30 p.m. (TV38)

The New England Revolution completely dominated Toronto FC at Gillette Stadium last year with 4-0 and 3-0 victories. Toronto, in their first season as an expansion franchise, struggled and finished dead last in Major League Soccer.

This year, however, Toronto currently sites in third place in the Eastern Conference, just 6 points behind the New England Revolution with two games in hand. In fact, first year Head Coach John Carver has done so well since taking over this season that with just one game left before the All-Star coach is picked based on points per game, he is still in the running.

That will likely be in the back of both coaches minds in Saturday night's match as a Revolution win would guarantee Steve Nicol will coach the MLS All-Stars on July 24th against West Ham. A Toronto win, combined with a loss by Columbus, would give the role to Carver.
